CMF ~ Home of Opportunities!

The structure of CMF😁 International, regional to the country!😎 You’re plugging into a world-wide fellowship🎉

You are probably wondering why I am being all too dramatic with all these ICMDA staff. Well, cause that’s where it probably starts; or maybe not. For it all begins with the Great Physician, Jesus Christ who left us with the message of reconciliation: ‘Be reconciled to God,’ And this is the message we as Christian medics implore to all men everywhere.

International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) is an international organization that aims at creating Christian witnesses through doctors and dentists in every community in every nation. The organization has 14 regions all over the world including the East Africa Region, of which CMF- Kenya is part. CMF-K has regional chapters with regards to geographical locations, students’, junior professionals’ and professionals’ chapters with regards to professionalism.

As MSCU, we are part of the Nairobi region. As students, we are part of the Students’ chapter. Nani hako group ya CMF-K students btw?😾😂 You are missing out…😢 Kindly hit me up @0792618869 (Maranatha) Hapa info hufika straight from the kitchen.😁

Anyway, that’s probably too much information for a day. But by the end of the week, I hope that it shall all make sense. Meanwhile, let’s hear what Mutanu; one of our members who served as an admin at the CMF desk has to say;

It’s a place of mentorship and intergenerational connections within the profession,” she starts.
CMF has given me the privilege of proximity to people further along in the profession, creating fertile ground for mentorship to blossom and flourish through consistent engagement. The avenues for the establishment of these connections have been diverse, from CMF monthly fellowships to ICMDA conferences, where connections formed have grown into invaluable mentorship opportunities, offering guidance and life lessons beyond the profession.
Being actively involved in CMF activities has also been socially enriching. Beyond the learning and everything formal, I have had the opportunity to build intergenerational friendships with people on similar journeys, with shared beliefs.
It’s been a place of service and learning too,” she states even as she continues to give us deeper insight into available activities within the CMF structure.
Plugging into CMF has provided an opportunity to serve and add a brick or two to the greater CMF foundation the first of which was as one of the UoN campus reps and then as a volunteer at the CMF office.
These platforms have pushed me out of zones of comfort in many ways, proving to be opportunities of growth.
CMF organizes webinars, monthly fellowships, and annual conferences featuring topics designed to meet the unique needs of Christian medics. In these forums, especially the monthly fellowships, both professionals and students share opinions, challenge perspectives, and learn collectively through open conversations.
The CMF student wing which is student led, organizes activities across various campuses, including the fun-filled hangouts and annual student conferences that blend learning with fellowship and recreation.”
“But this brief account only scratches the surface of my experience with CMF. Mambo ni mengi. The entirety of the wealth gained in skill, character and  capacity built through such opportunities and activities made so available has made my time and experience in CMF so worth it.
The earlier you plug in the better!

There you have it Fahm, a testimony right from the source, Ingekuwa sisi labda mngesema tuko biased😅 I hope you are eager to learn more about CMF this week. And even more so to plug in to the CMF students group🎉🎉🤩

Stay tuned🎉

Be blessed🙌
