Hello Rafiki,
I have been called many things in this world. Some nice names that I am all too eager to replay in my mind :), some distasteful ones that I am all too eager to forget. Recently, I was labelled a worm and boy, I have never been happier to be one!
In Isaiah 41:13–14,
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
See, this morning as I pen this down, I want to be carried away to the breathtaking mountain tops. Where peace flows like a river, and joy is spontaneous. Away from the valley, from the chill of the Vale of Jordan.
I desire to leave the valleys I am in. I desire days when cares are few, and laughter flows easily. I long for all the quiet and peace I can conjure up in my mind. That sweet place that my mind so creatively creates.
Yet I stop and think, isn’t He infinitely wise and strong who leadeth me? Can I not trust Him? Isn’t He kind?Hasn’t all He’s allowed always worked for good? (Yes, if those words are familiar, they are that song and you are a whole vibe :). Here is the link to that awesome musical admonishing to the soul:

Am I bigger than my God? Are my misgivings and seeming detours a surprise to Him? Can I thwart what He has decreed? Nay! In all these, I know God abides in heaven doing whatever He pleases! Ordering to place the good and the bad alike, the pleasant and the pinch!
And so I am encouraged this morning, to rest, for beneath are the Everlasting arms.
He helps you and I, dear one. Let’s not be afraid. Let’s depend on Him fully instead of all our uncertainty and fears. Rest Dear worm, rest!
Your friend,
Ndichu Kamau.
