CMF annual students conference, 2024.
Part one
The CMF annual students’ conference 2024 is an unforgettable memory. The two-day conference was a profound experience that helped me understand the unique challenges and opportunities of my chosen career. The discussions on the ethical dilemmas of the Christian faith equipped me with a robust framework for navigating complex moral issues in healthcare, emphasizing the importance of compassion, integrity, and a biblically-grounded approach. Learning about integrating Christian faith in the medical profession challenged me to see my work not just as a job, but as a calling—a way to serve God and my patients with excellence and love, mirroring Christ’s healing ministry. The session on global health service and mission broadened my perspective, inspiring me to consider how my skills could be used to serve vulnerable populations around the world, making a tangible difference in communities as I share the gospel with them. Finally, the segment on contagious Christianity encouraged me to live out my faith authentically, so that my actions, words, and care for others would be a living testimony to the hope I have in Christ. This conference wasn’t just about gaining knowledge; it was about transforming my mindset to view medicine through the lens of faith, service, and mission. The conference wasn’t all serious, though; the food was delicious and the games and activities were a fun way to connect with other attendees.

Part 2
Last year, I had the privilege of attending the Annual Students’ CMF Conference at Stem Hotel, Nakuru; an eye-opening experience that left me inspired and motivated.
From the powerful sessions we had to the meaningful connections I made, I walked away with a reignited passion to seek God, read the Word, and pray, along with practical lessons I can apply and a renewed drive to grow. One topic that stood out for me was ‘Medical Ethics and Dilemmas’ by Dr. Nkuranga, as well as a thought-provoking panel discussion.
I am truly grateful to the organizers, speakers, and everyone I met. It was such a transformative experience.
