I used to believe that it was easy to walk through difficult seasons. Whenever I encountered hardship, I would almost expect that favour was guaranteed and that the difficulty I was facing must surely be leading to something good in the way that I imagined.
Soon, I came to realise that this was a good conclusion, but not necessarily a true one. God does not operate according to our timelines or expectations, as I had previously thought. As Proverbs 16:9 says “A man’s heart plans his way but the LORD directs his steps “
The power lies in our faith, the belief that holds everything together and gives us the courage to trust in God’s working. The outcome is not guaranteed by our own steps, but by God’s. Even in seasons when it feels like nothing is working, when we feel a little delusional or stuck, The Lord is still working. Just because you don’t see it working doesn’t mean it isn’t working for your good ✨
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
