Spoken words have a way of getting lost somewhere between my heart, mind and vocal cords. Though I often have much to say (methinks), the sight of a congregation and the weight of a microphone in my hand send these words packing.
That said, consider this my Ministry Report. It has a more special place in my heart because it’s in a language I speak best. A language I have come to love and adore ♡.
Read on, dear one!

I dreamed a dream,
And it filled my heart with delight.
How beautiful! How grand! How striking!
I dreamed a dream,
And my entire being teemed with life.
How I longed to live that dream!
What a joy it would be –
When, on that day,
Words fill men’s hearts with wonder
And leave women transfixed in awe,
Dazzled by the King’s beauty and splendor,
Enthralled by His eminent perfection.
How pleasant it would be –
When, on that day,
Every ink mark carries such great weight
That to their knees all men will fall,
And at His feet all women will lie bare,
Cut to the heart –
Convicted.
What a delight it would be –
When, on that day,
Every pen stroke etches into a wounded heart
An indelible mark of the Father’s love,
An emblem of His saving grace,
And a touch of His healing balm.
Such awesome words!
Such pleasant effects!
I lay in bed and thought to myself,
“In my hand there’s not much –
Maybe not even little.
Yet because of the hope of what could be,
I will rise and live that dream.
I will rise and see its fulfilment.
I will speak to He who gave the dream –
Surely He must be up to something.
If I could just lean in, and listen,
Then maybe, just maybe,
He will tell me what to do.
Then (chuckles),
We both can be up to something.
We can live that dream.
We can joy in its fulfilment,
And tell others of it –
That they too may dream.”
Now I stand before my Maker unashamed.
He who gave the dream is pleased with me.
“I have glorified You on the earth;
I have finished the work You have given me to do.”
(Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? ( ◜‿◝ ))

I dreamed a dream,
And it filled my heart with delight.
I rose from my dream,
And with the little in my hand,
I lived that dream.
I spoke to He that gave the dream,
Leaned in and listened to Him,
And fulfilled all His bidding.
Now my heart wells with joy,
For the hearts of men were filled with wonder,
And women’s mouths left agape in awe,
Dazzled by the King’s beauty and splendor,
And enthralled by His eminent perfection.
My soul beams with gladness,
For though He cut up and wounded some,
With undying love He sutured them up,
And with such gentle words healed their brokenness.
Such awesome words!
Such pleasant effects!

Now I look at the sky above –
The moon and the stars in the dead of night
Oh, for more of such sweet dreams!
Far more importantly though –
The Giver of all such good dreams,
Oh, how excellent He is!!
