The Faithfulness of God.

Oh God,
When I look at your faithfulness,
I stand in awe,
From the beginning to the end,
From generation to generation,
Your faithfulness stands,
Your faithfulness reaches the skies,
Your word is right and true,
You are faithful in all you do
Who is like you, Lord God Almighty?
You Lord, are mighty,
and your faithfulness surrounds you.
You remember your covenant forever,
Have you ever promised and failed?
Have you ever forgotten of your covenant?
You keep your promises Lord God Almighty.
You are slow to anger and, abounding in love
and faithfulness

Why then do we humans struggle with faithfulness?
Why do we mere mortals, find it difficult to
trust in you Lord with all our hearts?
Is it because we haven’t learnt of your faithfulness?
Haven’t we learnt of your great love?
Or is it because your love surpasses all human understanding?
I find this a profound mystery,
Teach me your way Lord,
That I may rely on your faithfulness,
Teach me how to stay on my guard,
and not be found unfaithful.

You are my shield and defender Lord God Almighty,
You are my fortress,
You are my redeemer,
You are my king of comebacks,
In every season you have been faithful to me,
You have shown me of your love and faithfulness,
You have adorned me with your glory,
All my victories come from you Lord,
You have made me more than a conqueror,
One thing I know,
And this I strongly believe,
You Lord are good and faithful Lord
And your love endures forever,
I will sing of your great love forever,
I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
I will give thanks to the Lord,
For his goodness and love that endures forever
For his faithfulness that lives through all generations.

My prayer for you believer,
You who call on the name of the Lord,
That you learn to be faithful,
For the God who called you is faithful,
He is trustworthy,
Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding,
When you go about difficult moments,
Be still and know that he is God,
He is faithful and surely keeps his covenant.
