Once I started listening
People started talking.
My world became our world.
And I realized, we all have a story.
The first time I listened to a classmate while sipping on a small can of yoghurt,
I was left in awe of what God could do in someone’s life.
The next week, I was all ears once more,
This time, enjoying a savory hotdog on a hot Sunday afternoon with friends.
I love stories, but theirs are different.
They run deep, they split my heart, and they speak to my being.
I would describe their life-stories as ‘Impactful and motivating.’
Something I would picture being shared in front of an audience
However, I realize that God’s faithfulness in their lives is their platform.
And my heart is the audience.
And now as I reminisce over the words of a stranger, a friend, an acquaintance…
I understand that God’s work in our lives is beyond our life’s story.
It unifies us as the body of Christ and beckons others to Him.
Maybe then, we don’t need to find platforms to share the gospel,
The platform resides in the testimony of who God is to you and me!
