What happened to you, where’d your laughter go?
The light in your eyes, doesn’t seem to glow,
You move like a shadow, not quite in your skin,
Like you’ve locked your heart, and lost the key within,
What happened to you?

What happened to you, O rising tide?
Once bold with dreams, now quick to hide,
You scroll through life, but miss the view,
So tell me, oh ye SONDAS… what happened to you?

You used to dance, when the rains came,
Now even sunshine, can’t lift that frown,
Friends call your name, but you don’t reply,
You’re present in body, but your spirit’s shy,
What happened to you?

What happened to strength, that’s born of love?
Now fear is praised, and rage is enough,
But don’t you know, what the Word has said?
“You were given power, not fear,” instead,
What happened to you?

What happened to you, my silent friend?
Did sorrow steal, your will to mend?
You’re not meant, to carry all that weight,
“Cast it on Me,” says Love Incarnate,
What happened to you?

Where is your mind, when the noise won’t stop?
Your spirit, when the pressures pop?
You meditate, but on fear and shame,
While your soul forgets, God still knows your name,
What happened to you?

Your mind’s a maze, of looping doubt,
Of whispered lies, you can’t tune out,
But you were born, of power, not fear—
A sound mind, still resides in here,
What happened to you?

You’ve lost the art, of being still,
Of bending low, to test God’s will,
You cry for peace, then flee the cross—
But healing lives, in what feels like loss,
What happened to you?

So if you’re numb, or if you cry—
Let that be, your battle cry,
Healing begins, when we break through—
And someone dares ask…
What happened to you?

Cast your cares—He still receives,
The Shepherd waits, the Spirit grieves,
This generation, hear Love’s cue:
“I never changed… What happened to you?”
